Australian Culinary Journeys
We take inspired journeys to visit the culinary delights to places we have chosen as being worthy of foodie capital status. Our groups are very small so you have exclusive access to the proprietors of the places we visit to find out why their businesses are unique and at the pinnacle of culinary excellence. Most tours will include a spot of lunch. Our tours are fluid and are always different each time they are taken. These tours are intended to be the same as our international tours – but held within our own country and to reveal some of the spectacular produce and passion shown within our own country. These tours demonstrate that what happens is world class and for anyone who wants to explore their own backyard first may surprise you with what we have in our own backyard.
Culinary Journey Tours are fully guided tours for you to explore the local food and culture of a region. We begin and complete the tour in the place we are visiting because we want you to be free of travel restrictions. So long as you are at the starting point we can take it from there. We do not cover all costs because we want you to have some free time as individuals to explore your own interests – sights, food, shopping – and of course eating. We have arranged accommodation, transport, cooking classes, guides and tours, and a selection of meals. We do provide all breakfasts so we can all meet to outline our day so everyone has an understanding of what the day holds. We have done the organising so that all you have to do is pack a bag, bring a sense of adventure and fun and join us on your Culinary Journey.
Journeys within Australia take you to some surprising places and are a mix of exploring places and produce plus a range of cooking experiences. The tours depend on what is in season, so call us and we will let you know where we are going. We may be exploring the Hunter Valley (naturally with wine), the Barossa Valley, The Yarra Valley, Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsular, rural Victoria, Hobart, Launceston and rural Tasmania, and the food capital of Western Australia, Margaret River.
We may be visiting farmers markets, artisan providores, a truffle farm, an olive grove, a fruit orchard, local wineries, cheese makers, bread makers or specialist providores. We visit wineries and for the boys we may even be visiting a micro-brewery or two. Join us for a window on these culinary delights most people do not know exists.
Call us to find out where we are going or discuss where you would like to visit.
Journey with us and find out the amazing and hidden foodie delights in your own back yard, or if you are visiting from outside of Australia, be surprised by what is under your nose.
